      All employees of the school district earn credit in the state retirement system.  The amount of credit depends upon whether the position is full-time or part-time.  Part-time positions receive a proportionate amount of credit based on hours worked.  Other benefits are contingent upon contracts with representative associations.

     An applicant may be recommended for a position contingent upon a state mandated criminal history background check paid for by the applicant.  Only the recommended applicant is required to submit to and provide this information.
