Students must obtain a TRYOUT TICKET from their building athletic director PRIOR to the beginning of tryouts or the first day of practice. Participation fees are due at the time of picking up the TICKET. Without a completed TICKET a student may not participate or tryout. Please feel free to contact your building athletic director if you have any questions.
Items that will be checked off on the tryout ticket when the athlete and parent come in are listed below.
- Enrolled at Montague NBC Middle School
- Athletic Physical on file (must be dated on of after April 15, 2014)
- Passed 66% of full course load from the previous semester of 2013-2014
- Under 15 years of age (students cannot turn 15 prior to Sept. 1st)
- The following items will be available to during athletic hours to sign.
1. MAPS Athletic Code signed by athlete and parent
2. Concussion Waiver signed by athlete and parent

2014 - 15 PARTICIPATION FEES POLICY
Participation fees for the 2014-15 school year have changed. We know that these are difficult times for many and we do not want to eliminate students from participating in sports because of financial need. Please feel free to contact athletic director Jay Mulder if you would like to discuss the possibilities of financial aid or payment options. These arrangements need to be made before the season starts and the TRYOUT TICKET is issued.
NBC Middle School Participation Fees:
$75 for the first sport
$75 for the second sport
$75 for the third sport
Fourth sport free
Free / reduced lunch students will be $65 per sport
Montague High School Participation Fees:
$100 for the first sport
$100 for the second sport
$100 for the third sport
Free / reduced lunch students will be $90 per sport.
$400 per year. This will include students from grades 7-12.
