Welcome to Montague High School
It's Been a Great Winter!
Behaviors and academics have been very good to date! Students have really enjoyed those snow days sprinkled about and by their talk, maybe a few will become a meteorologist! Mid-winter break is fast approaching so be sure to check the district calendar for school days and our upcoming winter parent/teacher conferences. Let's hope that for the remainder of the winter we'll be able to see the pavement while driving! Stay warm.
Academic Awards Granted in Oct. 27 Assembly
The 20th annual MHS Academic Awards ceremony was held October 27 in the Auditorium. 80 honored students achieved a 3.4 GPA or better in each Trimester of the 2013-14 school year. 43 students received special recognition for achieving this in multiple years. Award winners received color coded tshirts, certificates and cookies in the cafeteria.

Another Fine Homecoming
The annual All-School Homecoming Assembly was a hit again October 3. With the help of great cheerleaders, a fine band and funky administrators, the crowd cheered on the Wildcat team. The 'Cats came close but lost to Mason County 14-7.
MHS working to Be Nice
This looks better from 1000 feet up--but the helicopter cancelled. MHS students and staff spelled it out and kicked off the Be Nice Campaign in an assembly May 21. Under the leadship of Zach Christian, MHS will be participating in the Be Nice Initiative (see beniceonline.com ) in a big way in the coming months, hoping to achieve a welcoming, friendly school for everyone.
Another Silver Medal and Higher Ranking for MHS!

We Need Your Help!
Meijer Community Rewards program is up and running! All you need to do is use our organization code of 547914 each time you shop at Meijer's! Meijer's donates a portion of the total sales back to Montague High School. We all eat and shop... well, at least most of us eat so write the number down and each time you shop at Meijer's (at any location state wide). Be sure to have the cashier add our number to the sale. Each year, Meijer sends us a check based on the previous school year totals. Thanks for helping us!
